The existing house had a poor connection to the surrounding garden. The verandah was too cramped to gather on and appreciate the views of the harbour. The alterations provided a generous deck, larger glass doors and windows to take in the view and an elevated lawn level which allows views from the lawn not previously possible. The living and dining room now flows from the terrace to the garden.
