Michael’s architectural education was in both Sydney and in Stockholm, Sweden. He has worked for several local firms as well as in Germany. Prior to establishing MacCormick + Associates (MA), in 2010, he established and was a principal partner in MacCormick Simonian Architects.

Since graduating with honours from the University of NSW in 1997, Michael has worked on single and multi-residential, community and institutional facilities.

He is the principal designer in the office and oversees each stage of the projects from; implementation through design, authority approvals, documentation and construction administration.

His interest in promoting architecture within the community has led him to speak regularly on architecture for Australian Architecture Association (AAA) as well as being a board member of the AAA.

When not thinking about buildings, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, drawing, working on cabinetry projects or taking out his rowing scull.

Carmen has more than 8 years professional experience in design development, documentation and project procurement. She has worked on commercial and on residential development in Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney.

Christina Sunario

B.Des, B.Arch

Christina has 8 years of experience specialising in high end residential projects across all project stages.
She studied at Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia, where she graduated with high distinction and also studied in Japan, as a scholarship recipient, at Kyushu University Urban Design Laboratory in Fukuoka.
Prior to joining MacCormick and Associates Architects, she worked for a number of architecture firms in Jakarta and Sydney.
Outside the office, she loves going to the beach, making handmade objects, and styling interiors.

Joanna Barlow

B.Des, B.Arch_Hons

Joanna has over ten years experience with residential and commercial architecture architecture. She graduated from the University of Sydney with honours and the Deans Merit Award for Design.
She has worked in Sydney with Virginia Kerridge Architects and several larger Sydney based firms.
Outside the office, she looks after 4 children and tries to fit in drawing and painting.

Giuliano Soto

Giuliano has 5 years experience with residential architecture.
He has completed his undergraduate and Master of Architecture degrees at the University of Technology Sydney.
